Blackhat

The movie was entertaining and action packed, but not very plausible. The suspension of disbelief required of the audience is over the top. However, I did enjoy the story.

Unbreakable

This film was very inspiring. It demonstrates the power of forgiveness and serves as a wonderful artistic example for discussing how anger, revenge and animosity can be extinguished with forgiveness and love.

Paddington

I rather enjoyed watching this movie with my daughter. The story line was adorable and the kid in me loved it!

American Sniper was an excellent reminder that freedom is not free.

I left this film feeling somber and empathetic for the families who must live with such devastating loss. The world in which we live contains some very cruel and brutal monsters. Some of these monsters manifest in the physical form of human threats. These monsters are slain with conventional weapons, tactics and bravery. The other monsters, are more complex because they do not take a physical form. You see, these monsters linger deep within the minds of those who have survived the hell of war. Only some can overcome and slay this more complex dragon. American Sniper allows the audience to see and understand both monsters and it demonstrates how that latter monster can summon the former when least expected. I encourage you to see this film and discuss it. The picture and message it paints is very real. It demonstrates the price of liberty first hand. Freedom is not free, so be sure and thank our veterans for their service.
