Battleship

It never ceases to amaze me how certain movies get great hype, have great special effects, but a story, plot and talent that is better suited for a straight to video porno.  Don’t waste your time.  It will be on with the rest of the crap on Network TV soon enough.

Marvel's The Avengers

This movie was everything the hype said it would be and more. Go see it! I would say this is the best Motion Picture Marvel has put into circulation. It had all of the classic Marvel elements along with the humor we have all come to know and love. I will not spoil the story line and plot here, but I will say that you should stay for the final scene after the credits. That said, I am off to find some Schwarma.

Hotel Rwanda

Saw this movie on Showtime. It's a true story about the genocide sqauds in Rwanda in the early 90's and how one man managed to save the lives of over a thousand refugees. The movie shows how all the great nations of the world looked the other way and did nothing to intervene. It shows how the French supplied the very army that engaged in genocide. Watching this film ought to make any of us upset with the politicians on this earth who would look the other way and condone such atrocities by not taking definitive action. I encourge you to see this movie and share it's message with others, as it demonstrates how one person standing up for what is right against all odds can make a significant difference!
